Weekly News 13th October

This week we have been learning about alliteration. The children have been learning to recognise words that start with the same sound and listening for the sounds in their names.

In maths we have been learning about numbers. The children have been learning to order numbers, recognise numbers and talk about numbers that are bigger and smaller. All of the children have had a turn at playing a maths game in the base that has been enabling them to practise these skills.

The children have also been learning about how to be a ‘problem solver’ in their learning which is one of our school ‘7 wonders of learning’ values.

Next week is Halloween. We do not celebrate Halloween at school so please do not bring any Halloween themed items to school. Each child will be given a ‘bag of hope’ that will contain a small bible comic. If you do not wish for your child to receive the ‘bag of hope’ please let us know.

Squirrels parents please remember to leave your child’s scooter in the scooter park outside hedgehogs class and you can collect it from there at the end of the school day.

Please remember to sign up for parents evening if you haven’t already done so. The lists are in your child’s classroom on the squirrel/hedgehog registration table.
